I am glad you read the responses. Hope you toss the mean ones. For a while, my comments were being tossed when I tried to post, so I gave up for a while. I appreciate your unvarnished take on the Scriptures. I have been leading a Bible class on Sundays for over 10 years going over Scripture paragraph by paragraph trying to get people to think, chew and digest it- how to study. It is hard work and wonder if I am even making a dent.
The serpent on the pole is an example of something God did for good that man misused. It was the cure for snakebite, but men worshipped it. A good king of Judah later had to do away with it because of this.
This is how the church is supposed to work...supporting each other, exhorting and teaching. Lifting others up and bringing them down to reality. Thank you for the scriptures and insights for they are blessings to us.
