"What every man needs to hear..." Amen! Earthly father's just need to find their words of expression ... My daddy was a wise, quiet old man that never mixed stories up but had a lesson to teach with each. He had a habit of kicking one in the leg and say, " Are you paying attention, this is important !" Right before his story's! LOL. At least he never had to repeat himself! But we "heard" better that way. I'm thankful our heaven Father doesn't have to do that! ( Well, not Everytime He speaks!😍💜🌿)
Thank you! Very poignant messages can be illustrated uniquely in a story that are lost in the delivery otherwise... and it gives the opportunity to have the story roll past it's characters, shine a light on the gift embedded within it, and also roll past that gift to the great giver of each gift, our Heavenly Father.
There's a monologue from Danny Devine on "character" near the end of the movie The Big Kahuna that impacted my life long before I understood it's implications, but it's something that has shaped the way I've chosen to live out the Gospel and let my life, and care for those around me, be the leading edge of what has people ask me about my faith, instead of using the ploys that always felt false to me in evangelism done wrong...
I'd highly recommend both the scene and the movie:

I'm not a man, but grandmother. That was excellent.

Just realized that says "Danny Devine" instead of "Danny Devito" lol - gotta love autocorrect 😂
